The Mighty Loud Union 2009-11-06 - 12:03 a.m. Today was pretty eventful. I'm just hoping I'm ready for the next two. I had a good meeting with Jim first thing in the morning and mostly just prepped for the Saturday conference the rest of the morning. I had a noon meeting, got lunch, crunched on a few things then headed to the walk-and-work. I said on the way I would not lose my voice because of all the presenting I have to do. Someone handed me a bullhorn within 30 seconds of my arrival. It had predictable effects. It was a fun picket line though. And our members went on strike in San Francisco too. All in all, a good day for the union. I had to go back to the office after the action and do some more work. I got home at about 9:00, just before Meghan. We had a good dinner and chatted for a bit afterward. Now it's midnight. I've got a lot to do the next couple days. I think my conference is going to go well though, and tomorrow I'll be too busy to worry much about it. "There's a better world a comin', don't you see see see, there's a better world a comin' don't you see?
